Gear up for the holiday hiring rush by learning more about this year’s top hiring and compensation trends! 700,000 seasonal workers are expected to help bring holiday cheer to consumers. Winter holidays make up 30% of annual retail sales. The average spend on the winter holidays is more than 5 times the average spend for Valentine's Day! In addition, the industry expects a 16% increase in eCommerce retail sales, with total retail sales for the holidays between $717 and $720 billion!

Looking at the 3-year trend in seasonal hires at select retailers and logistics companies, such as FedEx, UPS, Target, Amazon, Kohl's and more, both Target and Kohl's have increased the anticipated number of seasonal hires each year while FedEx has stayed flat over the time period.
