In 2004, Byron West envisioned a new kind of recruiting model that was more akin to a professional services engagement than a “best effort” contingency arrangement. He and his team wanted to create a system in which customers would pay for actual services rather than inflated placement fees that incorporate the probability of failed engagements with other clients. While the contingency model still has its place, we envisioned a better solution for high volume hiring projects. Hire Velocity could drive our customers’ cost per hire down to never before imagined levels. Our services would be delivered in a virtual manner long before that became the hot trend.
Over the ten years Hire Velocity has been working with clients, we have refined our focus and branding to truly position ourselves with a unique brand of intelligent RPO. We have proven the success of our model with high-profile clients such as AT&T, Kraft, AAA, Expedia, Coca-Cola, Xerox, Home Depot, Lowes, Nike, Wendy’s and Walmart, just to name a few. Today, there is not a competitor in the US or offshore that can match our ability to source, screen and qualify candidates regardless of volume or discipline.
In 2011 we invested in a company in DC called TSC Services. This move brought us access to the highest profile Federal contractors in DC like Deloitte Consulting, Booz Allen, L3, Unisys and Lockheed Martin. Combined, our unique model encompassing both onsite and virtual services gives clients exactly what fits their situation and budget. In January we acquired the rest of TSC and quickly moved to fully integrate the business into Hire Velocity. Our customers are already seeing the benefits and will continue to receive better service as we further refine our approach in the future.
