The transportation industry has experienced a surge in job openings over the past year, with turnover rates exceeding 100% according to the American Trucking Association. Hire Velocity has stepped up to fill many of those open positions with qualified workers.
On January 9th & 10th, the Hire Velocity leadership team attended a Driver Job Fair in Atlanta, Georgia. Hosted by DriverRecruitmentEvents.com, the two-day event showcased the latest developments in driver recruitment, training, and retention.
Friday’s recruiting seminar brought industry recruiters and carriers together to discuss changes and trends within the transportation industry. The Hire Velocity team presented our perspectives on current trends and discussed the methodologies we use to recruit drivers.
On Saturday, drivers from across the southeast attended the job fair to speak with vendors about job opportunities. Hire Velocity connected with over 300 drivers, providing information about the trucking companies we represent and offering insight about how we can help them launch a new career. Hire Velocity has successfully placed hundreds of drivers with Fortune 500 transportation companies, enabling drivers to find profitable new jobs and making it possible for businesses to keep more trucks on the road.
We are pleased to have taken part in this year’s Atlanta Driver Job Fair, and we anticipate future partnerships with Driver Recruitment Events across the country throughout 2015.
